Karnataka's former Chief Minister & the current BJP Lok Sabha, Member of Parliament, Belagavi visited the branch of Hukkeri Hiremath, in Belagavi. His visit was on the eve of Guru Poornima; Shettar greeted the pontiff of the mutt, Sh. Chandrashekhar Shivacharya Swamiji.
Speaking on the occasion, Jagdish Shettar said that " Sh. Chandrashekhar Shivacharya Swamiji treats the members of all communities equally. And that Swamiji, plays a spiritual role in moulding good thoughts in society.
Sh. Gurushanteshwar Saunstan, Hukkeri is known in entire north Karnataka for the social causes it promotes. The activities of the mutt are not confined to only the state. The mutt has followers in different states and even in foreign countries. The devotees of the mutt follow Sh. Chandrashekhar Shivacharya Swamiji's footsteps".
Jagdish Shettar further added, that it was his good fortune to meet Guruji and seek his blessings on the day.
Sh. Chandrashekhar Shivacharya Swamiji speaking on the occasion said that "everyone should have spiritual guides and respect them. A devotees life is blessed and will get success when they visit Gurus".
Guruji wished the Belagavi Lok Sabha MP to work for the good of the people in the district.
