Sri Chandrashekar Shivacharya Swamiji of Hukkeri Hiremath said that a beautiful society can be built
when everyone adopts the thoughts of the great saints who spread human values, ethics and ideas
to the world.
He was speaking at the Renukacharya Jayanti program organized by the district administration,
District Panchayat and Kannada and Culture Department at the city's Kumaragandharva Theatre on
Sunday. He said that Veerashaiva religion was established due to the positive thoughts of a great
man like Renukacharya, and if a great man does good for the society, the country and the nation,
then the Jayanti of such a great man is ideal.
Renukacharya spent his entire life for social reform, and although he is not with us physically today,
we are all following the path he laid down. He said that five Peethas were established by
Renukacharya, which are today the Peethas of Panchacharya, and that the Maths consisting of the
five principles are today doing the work of establishing religion in various places.
Everyone should follow the principles of Renukacharya. All communities need to be united. The
government is celebrating the 34th Mahatma Jayanti. The purpose of this is that everyone should go
together. It is a model and ideal that all communities have come together in Belgaum to celebrate
Renukacharya Jayanti. Renukacharya's contribution to Hindu society is immense. The sage said that
there is a need to unite Hindu society.
Shivamurthy Swamiji of Tontadarya Viraktamath spoke and said that the Mathadhis should do the
work of uniting all communities. Veerashaiva Lingayat Maths in North Karnataka have been
providing food, and shelter to all communities. All the sub-sects of the Veerashaiva Lingayat
community need to unite. We have not left Basavanna. We have not left Renukacharya. The
contribution of Veerashaiva Lingayat monasteries in North Karnataka is immense. Veerashaiva is not
a religion, caste, or sect. It is a garden of peace for all races. People's representatives should raise
their voices in the session on behalf of the society, he said.
Former member of the Legislative Council, Mahantesh Kavatagimath, who presided over the
ceremony, said that the Jangam community has a place as a guru in the society. Adi Jagadguru
Renukacharya is not limited to just one caste. The responsibility of uniting the sub-sects of the
Veerashaiva Lingayat community lies with the Sangama society. He said that the state government's
caste census is unscientific.
Dr. S.M. Gangadharaiah , Director of the Vijayapura Postgraduate Studies Centre of Rani
Channamma University, , said that the lives of those who read and understand the book Siddhanta
Shikhamani of Jagadguru Renukacharya will take a wonderful path. Veerashaiva Lingayat Maths have
been providing food and shelter to people of all communities. The work of the Maths in North
Karnataka is very commendable, so the Veerashaiva Lingayat society should walk in unity with
people of all communities and people of all communities should know about Sri Jagadguru
Renukacharya. He said that if you read and understand Siddhanta Shikhamani, you will know about
all things. If one read and understood Sri Jagadguru Renukacharya's Siddhanta Shikhamani, they will
learn that there is no hierarchical system among Veerashaivas. He said that all the people of the
Veerashaiva society should first unite.
