The 59 th pontiff of Sh. Hukkeri Hiremath,Sh. Chandrashekhar Shivacharya Swamiji during his visit to Sirsi, first visited the Marikamba temple. Hukkeri Shri, then participated in the upanayana ceremony of Dr. Venkatraman Hegde’s son.
The boy was initiated into the age-old customs of his faith, and Vedavyas received Guruji’s blessings. During the occasion, the notables of Sirsi were present. The former Speaker and the current Lok Sabha Member of Parliament, Uttara Kannada (U.K) district, Sh. Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri was amongst the distinguished gathering. Sh. Chandrashekhar Shivacharya Swamji interacted with the MP and also the other people present there.
