The English translation of the research paper Hukkeri Hiremath, submitted for the M’Phil degree by Smt. Shivaleela Hiremath through the Sh. B.R. Darur Research Center in Harugeri, was released by Hampi Kannada University Vice Chancellor Dr. D.V. Paramashivamurthy at the Hukkeri branch of Sri Gurushanteshwara Sansthan Hiremath in Lakshmi Tekadi.
Speaking on the occasion the VC of the Hampi Kannada University, added that “the research paper that came out from the University was introduced to Karnataka by Smt. Shivaleela Hiremath in Kannada; while retired Marathi professor Prof. Shalini Dodamani translated it into Marathi and introduced it to Maharashtra, and Dr. Gurudevi Hullepanavaramath has done the work of translating it into English and introducing it to the entire world.”
The VC had words of praise for Hukkeri Shri’s activities and said that “We are all aware that Shri Chandrashekar Shivacharya Swamiji of Hukkeri Hiremath has preserved and his unfound love for the Kannada Kannada language. And he was happy to meet him today and release his wonderful literary work about the mutt”.
Dr. V.S. Mali, a distinguished educationist from Harugeri, who was present on the dais, said that “Hukkeri Hiremath has contributed immensely socially, religiously and culturally. It is my good fortune to be a guide for this”.
Prof..S. Gangadhariah, Rani Channamma University, introduced the work and explained the important ideas contained in the work.
At the beginning, Dr. Gurudevi Hullepanavaramath gave an introductory speech and said that it is not only in Belagavi district, and that Hukkeri Sh. Chandrashekar Shivacharya Swamiji, is the voice of Kannada in the entire state of Karnataka . She said that she was happy to have the opportunity to translate his wonderful book in the English language.
On this occasion, special honors were paid to the authors, Prof. Shivaleela Hiremath, Kannada Lecturer, Government Degree College, Kittur, Prof. Rita Bangavi, and Prof. Shalini Dodami of the Marathi language.
Sh. Chandrashekar Shivacharya Swamiji, Hukkeri Hiremath, Belgaum, “said that the only Kannada university in entire Karnataka is in Hampi. And we are happy that her thesis was presented at Hampi University and she became an M’ Phil . Hukkeri Sh. added that the presence of Dr. Paramashivamurthy, as the Vice Chancellor, has given us happiness on releasing the book today.
Smt. Asha Yamakanamaradi compered the program. Smt. Sarvamangala Aralimatti and her companions offered prayers. On the occasion, Swamiji of Rudra Kesari Math was felicitated. Vidwan Sampathakumar Shastri and Sri Annadaneshwar Shivalinga Shastri were honored.
Special tributes were paid to the Gurus on the occasion of Guru Pournima.
